Abstract

The development of digital technology provides various opportunities for children and adolescents to access information, communicate, learn, and build social relationships. However, digital development also presents challenges in the form of bullying and cyberbullying, which may affect children's character development and social life. This Community Service Program aimed to improve children's and adolescents' understanding of bullying and cyberbullying, develop character values such as love, empathy, responsibility, and respect for others, and strengthen digital literacy and social media ethics. The activity was conducted at Bukit Hermon Orphanage in Sorong City using a community education approach through socialization and training. The methods included interactive presentations, discussions, case simulations, educational games, and anti-bullying action commitments. The implementation results indicate that interactive learning provided participants with opportunities to identify various forms of bullying, understand its impacts, distinguish jokes from bullying behavior, and recognize the importance of responsible digital media use. The activity also encouraged participants to develop empathy, respect others, reject bullying behavior, and commit themselves to creating a safe and bullying-free environment. This activity demonstrates that character education integrated with digital literacy can serve as a preventive strategy for developing a safe, inclusive, and ethical environment for children and adolescents.
